Keen’s Voyager –
Absolutely adore this shoe! Right from the box it was comfortable. I wear a size 9.5 and from my experience with Keen, ordered the same size – found a size 10 a bit too large in the Newport shoes. I have had nine knee surgeries and love Keens. I rehabilitated on crutches all last summer in the Newport shoes. The Voyager felt great the moment I put it on and I haven’t wanted to take it off yet. The size 9.5 fit perfectly with light or med socks and the shoe gives excellent support. I would tell anyone who has had any orthopedic problems that Keen shoes and sandals are wonderful. I ordered from Zappos on Sat and got them on Mon!

Zappos is awesome! This was my first Zappos experience and I ordered these on a Sunday and got them on Tuesday, free shipping! It takes the pressure off shopping online to know that if they didn’t work out for some reason the return shipping is free too. The shoes are great! I’m on my feet all day at work and they are so comfortable. The arch support is really great! They are a comfortable hiking shoe without being heavy too. When I wore them hiking I stepped in a puddle and although the outside got wet, my socks stayed nice and dry. I am hooked on both Zappos.com and Keens!!!

Ugly and incredible –
This is the best walking shoe that I have ever owned, and that is saying a lot. The construction, fit and arch support are incredible, not too hard or too soft. I like the ventilation on the sides, keeps me from getting hot feet. When my husband saw them he immediately said that he wanted a pair! (So I got him the men’s version.) They are so ugly that they are attractive, if that makes any sense. The kids think we are “with it” rather than nerdy. Everyone should try these, Keens are the best!

Keen Voyageur –
These shoes are comfy with good arch support. My only complaint is that I ordered a 7 1/2 and it fits like a size 7. Otherwise a good light hiking shoe.

I love my KEEN!
In March I was diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis. I remember after work my feet would hurt! I tried 3 different types of shoes (Dansko, Nike, Z-Coil) before getting this pair of Keen.
After wearing, within the first couple of days I felt a huge difference on my heel and no more pain. I’m happy to say that I no longer have plantar fasciitis.
I love my Keen and I’m so happy I purchased them.

I really like this shoe. Not only is it comfortable and supportive, but it has helped with a pain I have had in the ball of my left foot. I look forward to this shoe taking me into the winter months.

Love them!
This is my second pair of Keen’s Voyageurs… I wore out the first pair. Comfortable with my orthotics…I have plantar faciitis and need the support. I have a pair of Merrell hiking shoes but prefer the Keen’s for hiking and just about everything else!

Most comfortable hiking shoe I’ve owned –
This is the best hiking shoe I’ve ever owned. Great traction, perfect fit and the comfort and cushioning are superb. I normally require a wide shoe, but I decided to give these a try. They may be a bit wider than medium width because they fit me just fine.
I love Keen shoes and this is no exception!

Sturdy and comfortable –
Love my Keen shoes. I needed 1/2 size longer than I normally wear. The boxy toe gives my toes plenty of “wiggling” room, and my orthotics for my extra arch support fit nicely.
Carolyn –
These shoes are great. I’ve used them for hiking and for everyday use. There is plenty of room in the toebox so my toes have plenty of room; they’re not bumping into each other. If you’re looking for an all purpose shoe for day hikes, or a shoe for everyday walking around town, these just might fit the bill for you.
As always, Zappos service and delivery time can’t be beat.

I bought these online, and had my dad send them to China, where I was about to do a several day trek. Lucky for me, they were a fantastic fit. It only took an afternoon to break them in. I had a slight hot spot at the top of my foot, but they fit my slightly wide foot perfectly. They had great grip for when we were hiking in the rain or on gravel. I sometimes wear a 7.5, and sometimes an 8. I went with the size 8, and feel like I need to wear thick socks with the shoes.

These shoes are the perfect hiking shoe for anyone needing extra room in the toe box. They offer good traction on the trail and the mesh helps keep your feet cool. They are light weight for this type of shoe. Very comfortable from the first wearing. I ordered one size larger than normal because I feel they run small. It also gave me more space for an extra cushioned insole.

I ordered these shoes for a very close friend with 4th stage cancer. The chemo has caused her toes to go numb and she loses her balance very easy. These shoes have given her so much comfort and support. We live on the side of hill in Eastern Kentucky, so the terrain is not very smooth.

I have some great hiking boots, but I wanted a lighter pair of touring shoes. If I had not been touring in the cold and snow of December, I would have worn my all-time favorites, my Keen Venice sandals, which I love for the way they surround my feet without binding, without moving around, and yet still letting me feel the ground under my feet. After having tried out several “barefoot” shoes that just didn’t work, I found this Voyageur as close as I’ve come to that luxurious feeling of a shoe with room in the toe box and that fits like a good pair of gloves–respecting all the contours without pinching and without excess bulk. The only nagging worry is that after a couple of days of wearing them on the trail, I know that I am going to have to figure out how to tighten the laces so as to fit the shoes more snugly in the heel without putting too much pressure on the bridge. Details.

Great shoes, good support, solid construction. My hiking boots are Keen, so when I needed lighter walking shoes I went for these. They do run wide, plenty of room in the toe box, work with my orthotics perfectly.

This is a wonderful shoe, worth every dollar. So comfortable. They required no break in time. I enjoyed the Keen sandals my daughter bought me several years ago, and these Keen hiking shoes are of the same quality and comfort. They offer great arch support and plenty of toe room. Keen does not disappoint! I would not hesitate to buy Keen products again.

I ordered these shoes for hiking in the Grand Canyon. I ordered both styles of the Voyageur in one half size larger than I usually wear after reading the reviews. I found that the mid top was uncomfortable to my ankles so I returned them. The low top slipped in the heel area, so I reordered my usual size and it fit perfectly with my mid-thickness hiking socks. They are extremely comfortable, have plenty of room in the toe area, and are not unattractive like some hiking boots.
Anna R –
The most important thing about these shoes is that they have a wide toe box. I tried on other Keens but found that these had the best toe box for my slightly wide foot. I just returned from a 40 mile hiking trip through the Grand Canyon and have zero blisters from these shoes. My husband DID get several blisters wearing different shoes. Also, I am an ICU nurse and wore these shoes to work before our trip to break them in, although they didn’t need it. They were extremely comfortable shoes to wear to work- better than tennis shoes or my Danskos by far. My only problem is that they are so dirty now I don’t think I can wear them to work again! I wear a 9.5 in Nike, Asics, Brooks, Saucony…. and I took a 9 in these. Hope this helps!

Out-of-the-box comfort! Made first time Grand Canyon hike a total pleasure! Ample room for socks, true to size, and the kind of shoe that you forget you are wearing. An absolute must for hiking.

Please be advised that there is a significant color discrepancy between sizes. I ordered them in two sizes to try on. The 8s are the darker brown color in the Zappos photos, and the 8.5s are a lighter stone gray. I really like the look of the darker brown better, but the 8s were too small and I need them this weekend. It’s not upsetting enough to return and wait for a replacement – if there is even one available. I’ve included a photo. I’m wearing the 8.5.

These were bought for my very dear friend that has Never owned anything but shoes from box stores never spent more than $20.00 on an pair of shoes she’s in her mid 60’s and experiencing back and spine problems I I thought maybe a good pair of shoes could help! She’s so in love with these shoes she said she feels like they make her walk straight and even make her taller! Her pain is better but not gone its arthritic so these are such a wonderful help that she’s very grateful! Thanks Zappos for making another customer feel better and happy!! You are the Best Zappos!

Since I retired 10 years ago I have worn hiking shoes/boots constantly, as I live in a rural, largely unpaved, area and walk dogs daily. I started out with Merrell’s but soon came to favor Keen’s due to the wide toe box that lets my feet recover from years of pointy-toed dress shoes. They perfectly adapt to orthotics and make me feel much more stable than walking shoes. My feet are average (B) width but narrow in the heel; Keen hikers lace up in a way that they cradle my heels firmly and securely. I have worn many Targhees and usually keep an older pair of Targhee boots for the worst of the ‘monsoon’ season in So. Ariz., and winter trips to Flagstaff in the snow. For most of the year, however, I find the Voyagers to be more lightweight and less stiff, always comfortable right out of the box. On level ground I prefer the lowcut hikers, and the mid-high boots for uneven ground like a dry arroyo. I just realized that my current chicken coop shoes are identical to this new pair, but several seasons older, worn down and faded, still comfortable and functional. I do love my new blue/brindle pair of Voyagers, and they look great with blue jeans, but I am very frugal and usually wait for the sales when the newer colors are sold out in my common size. Last year I snagged some red Targhee hikers, but they are heavy and stiff, and I don’t really need lowcut waterproofing of the sides – when I do need WP, it’s because I unavoidably step into deep water up to my ankles. Try Voyagers, you’ll like ’em!

I LOVE these boots. Previously, I wore the Targhee model and wore them out. I hesitated to buy this style because of the mesh lining, since I live and walk in the desert. I thought they would get too much sand inside the boot. But I tried them twice, once on a really sandy trail, and had minimal sand drifting in. Yay! These fit even better than my previous Keens. The arch support is excellent. The lacing allows you to tighten the boot where you need it tighter without squeezing your toes. Plenty of room for toe wiggling, but my foot don’t slip when going up or downhill, as long as I have them laced correctly. One thing I particularly like is that when you lace up the boot, the next to last lace crossover fits neatly under the tab on the tongue, so it holds the laces securely. I don’t know if that was an intentional design feature, but it makes me love these boots even more.
I normally wear a 7.5 – 8, 38 in Euro, an 8 in Keens and I ordered my regular size 8. Perfect fit!

I’ve owned Keens in the past and was really disappointed that this pair only lasted 4 months with relatively light use. The fabric and padding at the heel for both shoes are completely gone exposing hard plastic. I’m really disappointed in the quality and don’t think I’ll be buying another pair of Keens in the future.

The Voyageur model is head and shoulders above the Targee hiking shoe in my opinion. The shoe is substantial and solid, but not overly heavy and with just enough cushion to feel forgiving and comfortable. The wide sole gives me a feeling of stability and secure connection to the ground with good traction. I like the way the shoe elevates my heel and rocks forward just slightly so I walk with a natural forward motion instead of a klunky flat-footed stride. I really appreciate the Keen wide toe box so my toes have room to wiggle.
