I’m an 8.5, but I get nervous when buying shoes online because I assume they are going to run small so I usually just get 9s. But I got these Keens in 8.5 and they fit great! I even have room for thick winter socks. These boots are also on the tall side but they don’t irritate my ankles. ??

I liked the style and quality, but I had to return because even with thin socks, my toes were firmly against lining. Unfortunately, they do not carrry a Women’s 12.

I didn’t really like the color of these when I received them. They’re different than they looked on my phone. They may be vegan friendly actually. I was surprised to see that there was rubber where I expected leather. There may be one piece of leather over the toe but the rest is man made material. However the targhee ll’s that I ordered were a disaster so I decided to try them on. My original and well loved targhees from years ago were size 9 so that’s what I ordered. These felt way too big like I was swimming in them, particularly around the heel and ankle. They sat too high and uncomfortably around my ankle. My last pair hugged my ankle comfortably offering support.
I noticed too, although I replaced the insert with orthotics, that the insole was very stiff and hard. No cushion whatsoever.
Also the left sole was uneven. It pushed the outside of me foot up causing my left foot to pronate. This is not the first pair of keens I’ve encountered in the past year that actually creates instability. Exactly the opposite of what I want and need in a shoe!! If my feet (my foundation) are off it throws off my whole body eventually and I start having pain elsewhere. I used to rely on keen to provide that stable foundation but I no longer trust the quality of their work. Do they even have quality control any more? They have cut too many corners. Such a shame and a big loss for me.

I have wide feet but these were great for that. Unfortunately, the 9.5 was too small and the 10 was too large. There seems to be a significant difference between the 9.5 and 10. However, if you have wide feet and a morton’s neuroma, these would be great if the length works for you.

I wear an 8.5 or 9 in a winter boot. I ordered a 8.5 and they fit is great. The only problem is, if I lace the boot right to the top, it hurts my ankles. I love the boots and wanted to keep them so all I did was NOT lace the very top and the problem is solved. I plan on wearing this in winter on milder days. Very pricey boot, but worth it.

I have always struggled to find comfortable shoes, as my feet are very long, narrow and my arch is extremely high. These are, hands down, the most amazingly comfortable boots I have ever worn. Hiking, just walking around, even running a short distance – my feet feel wonderful in these.
Sadly, they are the ugliest footwear I have ever owned. Because of this, I find that I just cannot wear them as often as I’d like. The shape looks funky with everything but my long boot cut tactical pants, and the color reminds me of my mom’s “mauve phase” in the 90s.
It’d be awesome if women’s fashion could be functional AND fashionable, but I guess even in 2019, that’s too much to ask.

Really a nice boot, very light and warm. The sole is very well made, and not slippery in the snow at all. Very sturdy boot. The color is a little off from the photo as soon else said in a review but I don’t mind it. You hardly see that with your pants over the top of the boot.

Lightweight, good arch support. Can’t wait to try these out in the snow/ice.

I like the shoes, the color is definitely darker in person. They’re black, not grey as they look in the pictures. But I don’t mind, they’re pretty comfortable hiking boots and I like how roomy the toe box is.

Arrived as promised. The boots were very obviously used;. Probably in someone’s backyard, as they felt new, although looked like a return? That said; this is my second pair of Targhee…KEEN never disappoints! Took them out this morning for a 3 mile. Hills and mud…no stumbles!

This particular Keen comes highly recommended for those of us who have flat feet and thus heavy over-pronation. I wanted to like the shoe, but it did not feel supportive, and I visualized turning an ankle. I originally ordered a 10.5, my normal size, but the shoe didn’t touch me anywhere! I re-ordered a 10, and while the shoe did fit a bit better, it was still not the right shoe for me. I ended up with the Vasque Breeze LT GTX, a HIGHLY supportive shoe for my narrow, flat feet.

Great fit. Wear tall socks to prevent rubbing o your upper ankle.

3rd pair Keen hikers. All were comfortable right out of the box. Only wore
them 3 times and unfortunately i am returning them as the stitching on top of boot is coming apart-both right and left.

These are so comfortable for my squatty wide feet. They have good support and lots of cushion everywhere. I put in my own orthopedic footbeds and had them on for 4 hours walking all over the house and no sore spots anywhere. Can’t wait to use them outdoors. There is a lot of extra decoration of webbing on the outside that eventually holds the top shoelace connection. It’s almost too much “style”. We’ll see how that wears or if it snags up on things. Great service, as always, from Zappos.

These are awful. I noticed as soon as I put them on, the boots forced my feet to slant inward. To make sure I wasn’t imagining this, I had my neighbor try them on as she is the same size as me. She also noticed the weird slant! While they initially fit, when I walked in them my toe slid up slightly and started rubbing the toe area. But if I had even gone up a half size, they would’ve been too big.

Keen are my go to hiking boots; comfortable, waterproof and durable!

These boots were comfortable from the moment I slipped them on! Went on a hike and had NO issues. No pinching or rubbing, or any break-in required.

I always order an 8 wide in Keens, and this style was no different. I’ve been wearing with a thicker sock and still feel very comfortable.

Wow! These are WINNERS. Instantly comfy. NO break in. I have no words. Well, yeah I do. These are fabulous. Sturdy but not like wearing cement blocks. Excellent traction. I walked over bumpy bricks. What bumps? My gait actually feels BETTER in these. Not that there was anything wrong with my gait. But, you know? Just feel better. Walking. Smoothly and easily. I bet I could tap dance in these. I don’t know how to tap dance, but that’s nitpicking, innit? I walked out the door and over uneven surfaces for 45 minutes. No blisters. No numb toes. No weird squeaks. Nothing. Just walked along thinking, “These shoes. I think they will change my life.” I ate tacos. The shoes were still comfy. After I ate the tacos I thought, “Wow. These shoes have been through everything I cam throw at them — walking over bricks, eating tacos. Really, I think that sums it up. If you eat tacos and want to walk over bricks — and who doesn’t? — these may be the shoes for you. I love them. I am wearing them to a Halloween thing tomorrow night. Not as a costume. We are having meatballs. I want to see how they hold up with that kind of stress. Seriously, these are out of the box great. I could sleep in them, I think. Would that be weird? Maybe so, but I would do that, just to see if they gave me blisters overnight. What if that happened somehow? Then I might take off “half a star.” But that is unlikely as I hardly think it’s fair to take off half a star for hiking boots that “fail to perform” while you’re sleeping. Still, some people are maybe a bit pickier than I am. I can’t wait to try wearing these to the meatball thing. Walk up some stairs. Sit down. Bet you they STILL feel great. Very glad I got these. I think they look cool too. Not too clunky. Not Monster Truck. But not smart car sized, either. Sturdy, well-made. Really kinda cool. I am known for my coolness and I declare these to be cool.
Good night.

I have bought Targhees hiking boots every few years as they typically stand up the beating they get with my use. The 1st and 2nd pair I purchased in the past lasted around 2.5 years. This pair I had to return, not once but twice. Why, because they front seem near the toe on both right and left feet keep coming unglued and my toes get wet. I’m very disappointed in Keen. I’m not sure if they switched glues or maybe changed where they are manufacturing their shoes. My feet do the best in these hiking boots.. but now I have not alternative but to try another brand.

I LOVE MY HIKING BOOTS! They fit great, broke in quickly, and I forget that I’m wearing them! I have wide feet that run size 8.5 to 9. Rarely am I ever able to wear a standard width shoe. It takes many tries to find any type of shoe that feels comfortable. I ordered a 9.5 Medium width and they accommodate my wide foot. These feel and wear fantastic! I ordered a pair of Wrightsocks, double layer, midweight to wear with my boots. The combo is perfect for me. I also love how these boots lace up so quickly.
I wear my boots once to twice a week for a day of hiking. The tread is excellent for me up and down dirt and rocky trails. They’ve been through wet mud, minor creek crossings, and off trail down rocky slopes. I’m not athletic and I tend to be klutzy so a sturdy boot is a must. These boots and my walking stick make me self assured and agile. This Keen mama is keeping up with the family!

Ugh, I was really looking forward to getting these boots. I love the color combination and have worn Keen shoes before. These boots were slightly small, and they were painfully stiff around the ankle. Most shocking of all, both boots had ripped seams!
Keyper –
Excellent fit for me . Immediately felt comfortable on my feet as had the last pair that had lasted for years.

Comfortable and sturdy just what I was looking for
