This was too be my 187th pair of Keen’s but my first Targhee II, I have the III’s and they are amazing!!! These had a different lacing system, I have them in boots and they are much better. This isn’t a Zappos issue but the lacing system felt weird, laces too thin, swapped out to a wider lace and still felt off. Look Great, Great Support, and maybe it’s my goofy foot?

The info said to get a 1/2 size larger, but I wear a size 11 and that’s what I ordered- they fit fine like always. The lace up is not as good as usuall, don’t know why they changed it.

Like others have said, the shoe definitely does not feel exactly true to size. My big toe definitely bumped right up to the edge of the toe box in my size 13‘s, but my feet can still sit there comfortably. If there was a size 13.5, I would definitely have sprung for it, but since I had to go up a full size I decided to press my luck. Other than sizing, it’s a great shoe and something I should have purchased years ago.

I bought these for my husband to replace a nearly 10-year old pair of Keens that were very similar. He is still in the breaking in period, which will take a couple of months. The sizing is accurate, but something changed from his old Keens to the Targhee in the width around the ankle or with the laces that does not hold his ankle in the shoe even with inserts with heel cups. As a result, it got 4 stars overall instead of 5. It is not necessarily a sizing issue as much as a design change. Anticipate needing to wear them around the house for a bit before making a final decision as these may not fit the way you think right out of the box.
