Nancy –
One shoe had been at least tried on (several) times. The shoelace was all undone and the box was very smashed. But i fell in love with the looks and was happy to find them. Keens are amazing and fit perfect right out of the box.
Barb –
I was shocked at how comfortable this shoe was. Just wish they came in a better selection of colors.

Once again, the heel box is too big which in years past was not the case. I’ve tried four or five pairs in the past year and they’re all the same. So disappointed becauseKeen was my go to brand.

I think these shoes fit fine but there is a flaw in the sewing near the tongue of the right shoe which rubs and is very uncomfortable, I had a bit red spot just wearing them around the house. I would like to have a pair of these shoes but not this pair. They also appeared scuffed so I think they were a return which I didn’t really care about but the one shoe really is uncomfortable and should not be sent to another customer.

These shoes are awesome! I have worn them hiking 3 times now and they are very comfortable with no “breaking in” required.

This shoe was so close to being perfect for me! A little bit heavy but not unusual for a sturdy hiker. My feet felt well protected and gave plenty of room for my kinda wide feet. It’s a nice balance of cushion v too squishy. I’m not as worried about the bellows breaking as others have mentioned. It’s a good height with no rubbing at the ankles. It’s a very solidly built shoe. The only reason I am not keeping these is because seam inside the shoe where the waterproofing and tongue are sewn aggravated the top of my foot. It’s something I’m not sure you’d notice with thick winter hiking socks but with my thinner summer weight smartwool, it left red mark indentations after just trying them on. I really hope they fix this.

Fit is true to size and they are lighter than what I was expecting which will be good for hiking.

This shoe was great, “right out of the box”. Best when worn with a hiking sock. What I like the most is the wide toe box…i have a bunion and that was not an issue. Its a bit clunky, but then again I am a size 10, so everything kind of is- lol. These were great in Acadia walking around on rocks.

I’m usually a true 8.5 in shoes & keens. It has been years since I’ve worn keens but knew they were a perfectly paired brand for my feet(narrower heel, wider toe box). The toe are was ok, a bit narrower than expected. Arch support, medium to low . But that being said, it’s meant to have a stiff platform for stability & it does.. I struggle with getting the tongue to lay comfortably.. but it is sufficient for what I need.. Insoles may be a good idea, I may try my spencos.Need a bit more arch support..

Fit perfectly, though at one point there was a little pinch feeling where the tongue met the top of the shoe, but that left after awhile. I like the sturdiness of the shoe and the beautiful oxblood color.

Very pleased. 3rd pair

I really liked the rubber “hinge” on the top of the shoe where your great toe creases. For me, with a bit of arthritis in my big toe, having that was clutch! I am 54, and do not care about the looks of hiking shoes, I go for comfort, but these are pretty cute. I tried on numerous brands, MANY sizes, looking for the best fit. These seem to do the trick. I have not hiked in them yet, but worn them the entire day (around the house) and they feel good!

I like the hiker. It’s clunky but the sole is tough. I don’t notice the flex thing honestly. My kids are in BSA and doing really tough hiking – like 7-9 day Philmont treks and for them I buy the Tqrghee waterproof because a) it rains a lot at Philmont and b) I’m not sending them to 40+ miles of hiking with a 65L pack and a little plastic accordion on their shoe that could fail. For me however, hiking in Mi and Tx, for sport it’s fine.
My only complaint is the insole. It is absolutely lousy. Slim, unsupportive…. my feet were sore just wearing them in the house. It’s not so eco-what we when you have to throw it out immediately. The only good part about the insole js that you can remove it.
I dished out $40 for the orthoheel active insert. (Insert Angel choir) I buy those through Zappos and their sister Amazon. With this insert, it felt great and I loved and kept the shoe.
I could not purchase these shoes from Zappos directly because they were out of stock so I did buy then from another venue through Amazon. I would have preferred to use Zappos as they are my favorite.

I love these shoes! I wasn’t sure I was going to like them or not or if they’d fit well because it said to order up a half size and I didn’t. I’m usually a 7.5 to an 8. I ordered an 8 and they fit great and I love the looks also. Very comfortable!

I have been wearing Keens for years now. I’m 76 and have rheumatoid arthritis, as well as osteo in my hands and feet (and all over really).
The lace up Keens make it possible for me to keep walking – something very important to me. I use hiking sticks to help outside and a cane inside for balance.
I love the traction, good foot and arch support, and the style! Yes, even at my age!

I have been wearing the keen targee hiking shoe for about a decade. In that period, I’ve had at least 4 pairs and worn them all until the soles fall off and my toes are falling out of the sides. I tried this newer model on a whim because I was having trouble finding the targee model in my size. Well, I like these even more! Comfortable right out of the box, worn for walking all day with no problems. I like a wide toe box and these accommodate that. They are a stiff/more structured shoe but very typical of a hiking shoe or boot, what you would expect. I just bought a second pair to save for later because I am so happy with these. I wear a size 8 in regular shoes and a 10 in all brands of running shoes and a 9 in Keens and Merrels.

I wore these for a hike and it was raining. My feet stayed dry and my shoes did not need to be dried out. Really great shoes, a little pricy, but it’s worth it if I can depend on waterproof shoes. I live in Seattle, so waterproof hiking shoes are important.
Catherine –
truly great

One shoes squeeks with every step! It’s ok when hiking outdoors as you don’t notice it but inside it’s quite annoying. Otherwise, they’re perfect to wear from the box.
Anonymous –
Good arch support. I didn’t want to spend this much but the comfort is worth it.
RD –
Size is perfect and they are comfy right out of the box!

I usually wear an 8 but Zappo’s recommended 8.5 for this Keen shoe (Ridge Flex WP). I ordered 8.5 and am glad I did! Love the rhubarb color! I had previously ordered it in blue but one of the shoes had a defect (lump of fabric in the toe) so I returned those.
Billy –
The left shoe rubbed against my foot. I didn’t lace it all the way up. Now it fits comfortably.

Definitely more of a cold weather shoe. Would be way too sweaty for me hiking in Florida summer temps. Even though it would be nice to have waterproofing – I want something that can breathe a little.

I love these shoes! Expensive – but will get so much use out of them for many years. Quality footwear – functional, and I love the style. I was surprised at the sizing however – as I’m ALWAYS a size 7 – even in an older pair of Keens that I have. But I had to exchange them for 6.5 – which were perfect!
