I thought I would love these. I wanted a flip without the toe protection to wear to the pool and beach. These were a miss for me – the footbed was awesome (similar to the Bali, Waimea, the now discontinued St. Barts, and Portico styles), but the way the footbed was shaped on the top (where the toes are), simply had too much unfilled toe space without the toe cover. The footbed silhouette is very oval shaped, and I have square shaped Fred Flintstone feet. So, I had all of this “extra” room at the top. I went with the Waimea instead and decided that the toe protection actually works better for my feet and looks better with a rugged sandal such as this. As always, Keen sandals are great for wide feet – and if your foot outline looks more like an oval, rather than a square, then this sandal may work great for you.

I so wanted to like these. I have several pairs of Keen shoes and boots and love them and they are never narrow, I am not sure what happened with these. The left side was angled strangely and did not stay on my foot correctly. The cushioning of the shoes is great and the look of the shoes is great and the piece in between your toes is not comfortable and the footbed is too narrow. These are a big miss. Too bad!

I love these flip flops! I have been a flip flop wearer in the summer months for years. When I started having foot issues, and went to the foot doctor, I discovered I had plantar fasciitis. That meant I had to have shoes that provided more arch support. I gave up on flip flop style sandals for a few years, and started wearing other Keen sandals. After several years of wearing the other styes (and some treatment from the doctor), my problems were improving so I decided to try the Keen Kona Flip. I was hoping since Keen offered great arch support in their other styles, the flip flop would offer the same benefit. They are wonderful. I love these shoes. They are a very comfortable flip flop and do not get slippery when wet. I would recommend trying to break them in if possible before you wear them for a very long day of walking, as the top strap is a little snug at first. But even at that rate, they did not create any blisters and were still comfortable. I was wearing them to work straight out of the box!

This is my 3rd pair of Keen sandals and they do run a bit big in the footbed. Knowing that I ordered these in 5 1/2 rather than my standard 6 and they fit perfect. No extra space at the toes. The color is a bright green, not yellow as they looked on my computer. They are incredibly comfy and supportive like typical Keen and easy to clean. Awesome sandal and gives you a casual look without the huge toe cover.

These have to be the most comfortable flip flops on the planet. I bought mine in the orange, and just love the color for summer. Right out of the box they were so comfortable…the straps not too tight, nor too loose and the piece between the toe was comfortable. No sharp edges anywhere, no pinching, no rubbing. The support is fantastic for my really high arch and instep. They are perfect to wear around water as there is plenty of traction. My foot doesn’t slip in the shoe, and the bottom of the shoe won’t even slip on wet, smooth concrete. They’re easy to clean too…after being in mud — a little soap and water and they look like new. If I had to come up with a negative, they run large. I wear an 8 so I bought an 8. There is about an inch in front of my toe and behind my heel. Next time I will buy a 7, although I have heard that extra room is by design, to offer protection. I will definitely buy more of these in different colors.

Wow, no arch support at all. But love the firmness of the footbed. Very supportive in that area.

I ordered these in May, and I love them, but I’m disappointed to see the fabric just starting to give a bit at the seam. I wear them a lot but not nearly enough to justify this. The neoprene that backs the fabric ends just shy of where the two pieces of fabric joins, which makes me wonder if the fabric alone is not quite strong enough?

I wrote to Keen.com and inquired about the arch support of these. I was told metatomical foot bed with great arche support. So, I bought them from Zappos. However, I didn’t feel the “great” arche support. Also, my normal size was too big. I returned to try for a half size smaller. Maybe the arche support was out of place, being they were unusually large for Keen and both problems would be solved. I received the smaller pair. Neither problem eas solved. No arche support for my anatomy. These were still to big but the step was so loose I had a hard time not flinging them off as I walked. Really disappointed in these. Keen is my go to. But, I am open to suggestions for other brands please. I do appreciate Zappos customer care. They tried to help with size and suggested other brands. Thank you Zappos.

Great flip flop for wearing in Hawaii, where flip flops are called slippers and worn everywhere. Most comfortable flip flop I’ve ever worn. Used to rely on Nikes, but their quality has declined. These are solidly built and offer great support.

I am dying to find the perfect flip for my foot and I am hoping this is it. Keen shoes normally fit me well. This particular style seems to run large so I had to downsize by 1/2 a size. But I’m not yet sure the cut of the shoe is right for my foot. It hasn’t been warm enough to really wear these around, but just in the house, my foot seems to slip a bit more than I’d like as I walk. I think that’s because my toes and heel don’t square up with the form of the shoe. I have a bit of excess room in the heel, even after going down a 1/2 size, and my toes don’t sink squarely into the form of the top of the sandal. But I really like the style and quality of the shoe, so I have my fingers crossed that I will end up really liking these.

Several years ago I bought the older keen flip flop that covers the toe, LOVE it wore them all the time but Keen stopped making them for women. I bought this to see if it’s the same fit, bingo! Same fit and feel just toes exposed. I wear these all day during the summer because I can’t walk around barefoot due to plantar fasciitis. Just what I needed to replace my worn out sandals.

Super comfortable…and that’s coming from someone with plantar fasciitis!

I purchased these with one specific use in mind: a comfortable, supportive pair of sandals I can wear around the house when I’m running around getting things done on the weekends (cleaning, laundry, cooking/meal prep). I didn’t want sneakers because I wanted something that was easy to slip on and off and super breathable/cool. These fully fit the bill. I wouldn’t wear them out and about unless I was doing something athletic. These just aren’t cute/stylish and they’re pretty clunky, but they’re so comfortable and they’re pretty much indestructible as far as I can tell. I love that if I’m working outside in them I can rinse then right off and, aside from the straps, the shoes are clean and dry with minimal effort. If I ever manage to wear out the pair I have I will definitely get another.

Length of shoe was 1/2 size larger than a women’s size 9. The width of the footbed was regular, but the top strap was huge! Only good for a very fat or swollen foot. I was unable to wear, so I returned these flip flops. Photos included of the purchased Keen flip flops and for comparison, a pair of size 9 women’s Vionoc’s flip flops.

Very comfy and true to size.

I normally wear a size 8 but ordered 7 1/2 because shoe runs large. I have another pair of Keen Kona Flip from last season and had to return size 8 for size 7 1/2.

These flip flops are so cute, but sizing runs (for me) 1/2 size too big and they are wide. My original size 6 was too big and wide. Tried the 5 1/2 and the length and width seemed much better but the straps are just made too loose. I think you need a little bit of a fat foot for these to fit. I had to send both back.

Comfortable shoes, but had to place an order for a smaller size.

What happened? I love Keen shoes and have an eight year old pair of Keen flip flops that had to be replaced! I ordered the Kona Flipflop in my usual size and the straps are so loose that I can’t keep them on. I love the colors (tie dye) of this shoe and the materials but they are way to loose in the straps and I had to return them! I wear an 8.5 Medium and the length was true to size but the straps don’t even touch my foot they are so loose. I hope Keen will make adjustments when they make a new version of the Kona Flip.
