These shoes seemed great- the fit and comfort were great, and my 7 year old easily learned how to put them on himself. But from the first time he wore them, the metal clasps crimped the laces and we couldn’t get them off. Within a month, two of the clasps broke off entirely. I returned them for a similar pair with a Velcro top. Love the brand and the shoe style- but don’t get these until KEEN improves this particular style because it doesn’t work. Photos below- first is how it is supposed to look/ work and the second is after less than 10 wears.
