Second pair I have bought, my son is now 4. Need the waterproof feature because he plays outside a lot at school.

I wanted to love these for their Northwest wet winter outdoor play potential, but the stiff fold that attaches the tongue to the shoe sidewall is so uncomfortable (possibly helps waterproofing but otherwise seems like a design oversight) made these so uncomfortable that my 7 year old wore them twice and refused to wear again.

My son didn’t like how high the upper went on his ankle. I think he’s just not accustomed to a higher upper.
