Has the Converse look, but is way more comfortable and supportive! I like that the toe area is wider than a normal keds/converse too, so it doesn’t squish or rub – walked 3 miles in these right out of the box and did not get blisters, so that’s a win! Only complaint is the heel is a bit stiff – I could see the backs of these rubbing on the Achilles if you don’t wear thick socks.

As a longtime Keen wearer, I really wanted to love these sneakers. But, as has been the case over the past years since the unfortunate demise of the Coronado, this sneaker falls a bit short on comfort. The tongue of the shoe is cut slightly narrow which means the edges sit uncomfortably on the top of my foot. Could I wear them and have them break in? Probably, but I prefer to have sneakers that I can wear immediately. Each variation and design of the Elsa sneakers fit slightly differently – somewhat annoying to the consumer.

I typically wear converse all stars. They don’t have enough support. I have great arches so it had not been a problem. These Keens have more support. The rubber that is the sole is much stiffer while being soft enough for comfort. I typically wear a 7 in Converse but bought a 71/2 in these.
